We live and are based in Portugal and personally know all the horses that we find homes for as well as their owners. Only by being on site is it possible to bring both horse and human together in a responsible way.
We pre-select the horses in advance. This means that we only find homes for horses that meet our standards in terms of faultless temperament, having been well looked after and well brought up.
We don‘t see the horses that we find homes for as mere catalogue numbers. For us, each lusitano is unique, with its own special character and personality, which is exactly how we appreciate the horses who will be introduced to you correspondingly.
Quality of service not quantity - we don’t have 200 horses on our books, not even 100 horses. Indeed, if we had so many horses to find homes for, we would never be able to offer such a complete range of services. Instead of having photos and videos sent and putting horses online en masse, we take the time and patience to get to know each horse individually and to create his or her own personal profile, and with experience and good oversight find the right person for him or her. In the end, the horse must not only fit the rider but the rider must also be suitable for the horse. The perfect match is not a one-way street.
We take the time to get to know each horse as well as we can before committing to finding him or her a new home. We observe the horse in its stable, being groomed, saddled and bridled and during a few training sessions - we may also test ride the horse ourselves. And we take our own informative photos of the horse for your perusal.
Whether breeder, trainer or private owner - we do business with trustworthy vendors with whom we stay in close contact. We do not work with dubious horse dealers.
